Artist Bio:

Aliyah Denea (B. 2001, Connecticut) is a Haitian-American artist whose work explores the intersection of nature, culture, and the human experience. Through her art, Denea incorporates natural materials such as shells, plants, feathers, and clays, forging a deep connection to the earth and honoring her ancestors. Her creations stand as a testament to the enduring beauty found in the natural world and across diverse cultures. 

Aliyah leads a nomadic lifestyle, traveling the world to study various cultures to draw inspiration for her art. This worldly exploration infuses her work with a depth and richness, inviting viewers to contemplate the intimate stories being told through her work. The intentions behind Aliyah's work is to educate and bring awareness to various cultures around the world, each piece has a story that informs and demystifies foreign cultural norms, traditions and practices.
